You have heard about the spiritual path, religious path, the path of mindfulness, zen way of living, the path of present moment awareness, amongst all of these path’s, Meditation too is a path.

Meditation is not just another practice, but meditation is a way of life. You can create your whole new life, by practicing meditation. Your choice and decisions will change, once you start practicing meditation.

The situations, events, or memories of your mind changes with the practice of meditation. The path of meditation is about clarity.

When you practice meditation, you pull yourself away from the outside world and start connecting with your inner self.

The mind has a habit to wander in the memories of the outside life. But as you progress with the practice of meditation, you develop enough control over your mind and slowly rise higher beyond the memories of the mind to experience an altogether new reality.

The practice of meditation not only makes you aware of the new reality of the inner world, but you also experience the outside world with a different perception. Everything that happens both in your inner, as well as the outside world, becomes clear to you.

Meditation is the way of life. You can recreate your personal as well as professional life by practicing meditation. Its the meditation that allows you to connect with your core, and you start experiencing life, rather than following the things of the outside world.

When your mind is occupied with the outside life, too many things go into your mind all the time. These results in the chaos, tension, pain, or suffering in your life.

When you practice meditation, your attention of the mind turns inward, and slowly you pull yourself away from the things, that no longer serve any purpose in your life.

You know, whenever you make any choice or decision, you make the choice with what appears in front of you. There are very few people, who indulge in real thinking and consider all the consequences before they make any decision with their lives.

Life is all about presence. When you are present at the moment, it’s easier to make any decision at the moment as your mind can see the past and future of the situation. Once the situation appears absolutely clear to you, you can proceed forward with your decision.

At the same time, if you simply make choices and decisions, without giving any thought to it, you experience the consequences of it, in the future. So, if your decisions are without considering the consequences, you later spend time in correcting the decisions that you have made in the past. These keep your life rotating in the same circle, without moving forward.

The practice of meditation helps you to relax your body and mind. Many people carry this notion that more they are stressed, better they perform, but psychologically it’s impossible. Your ability to see things clearly gets reduced to minimal, when you are stressed out or your body is in pain. It’s only when your body and mind are completely relaxed, you see things with absolute clarity.

The outside life can only be known, by knowing your mind. It’s your mind that allows you to experience the outside life. If you directly try to understand the outside world, you only create more memories out of it and create more chaos within your mind.

But when you take your attention inward and try to understand the nature of your mind, slowly you start understanding, how life functions both in the outside as well as the inner world.

It’s the mind that allows you to experience life through the senses. Whatever you experience throughout your life period, gets stored in your mind. When you take your attention inward, you understand the cause of sensation in the body. You also understand the center point of the breath, from where it moves in and out.

The inward attention helps you to understand your thought process and how the mind imagines things into the future. When you understand the nature of your mind, you can very well differentiate between the reality and illusion of life.

In the outside world, we keep on chasing one thing after the other, and never really knows, what allows the things to manifest in the outside world.

With inner attention, you connect with the wisdom of life that allows you to see the truth of life with clarity.

It’s only the wisdom of life, that allows you to figure out the right time for the manifestation of things. Remember the clock time is the creation of the human mind and it only serves the purpose in the worldly life.

When it comes to eternal life, what counts to manifest thing is the right process and the time it takes for the completion of that process. The clock time is useful only for our day-to-day activities, but to understand the eternal process of life, you have to take your attention inward and connect with the inner wisdom that constantly exists to serve you at the moment.

For many, practicing meditation is a waste of time. They like to run here and there for life’s solution, but if you ask them to sit here for 10 minutes and tell them that the solution will come on its own, there are very few who believe this truth.

Running all the time is not a solution, rather a waste of time. If you simply go on running with your life, without understanding the nature of life, you simply rotate in a circle, without reaching anywhere.

The practice of meditation is powerful enough to give you the solution at this moment. Remember your problems belong to you, and thus the solution too exists in you. I can show you the way to the solution, but nobody else can give you a permanent solution to your problems of life. You yourself have to take time out, and spend some time contemplating your life, so that you can come up with the solution for your problems.

The practice of meditation teaches you to serve the moment. When your mind is wandering in the past or the future, and your body is present in the moment, most of the time we get into trouble.

The benefit of meditation is to bring the body and mind at the same point, i.e. at the present moment. Wherever you go, your body follows but not necessarily your mind follows. You have to actively bring your mind to the moment, and for which you need practice.

Practicing meditation is simple.

All you need to do is devote some time for yourself every day be it 10 minutes, 15 minutes, or 30 minutes.

What do you do in meditation?

You find a peaceful corner at your house. Lay down a mattress. Get into a comfortable sitting position, and close your eyes. Now, this will be a new experience for you so your eyes will open up again and again while practicing meditation, and that’s fine. All you have to do is get comfortable with the practice. You can take your own time to adjust to a new way of life.

Within a few days, your mind will be able to pick the movement of the breath. Allow your mind to stay with the movement of the breath. The more you practice meditation, the more your attention will connect with a deeper self. Slowly your mind will sense the sensation of the body. Be present with the sensation. Don’t try to run away from the process, rather be with the process the longest time possible.

At times, you will feel to give up the process, as it will hard to observe the self. But stay firm and be with the process.

Your role while practicing meditation will be of an observer. You will be observing everything that is happening inside, as a third person. As if, things are not happening to you, but to someone else. Slowly you will be comfortable with it and a door for a new life will be open for you.
