How Knowing (Awareness) is different than Knowledge?

The first thing to become a master of oneself is to become more conscious of your acts and your thoughts. Unconsciousness is slavery, consciousness is mastery.

One who commits anything against existence has to suffer. One who helps existence to grow towards more beauty and more consciousness, and more joy and more dance are rewarded — not by any God, but by his own actions.

In fact, when you do something good out of your awareness, the very action brings such blissfulness to you, such peace, such joy; you are rewarded for the action itself.

Knowing is to respond in a moment, out of awareness. If the awareness is high, the response will be good, if the awareness is low, the response will turn into a reaction for the situation.

The awareness is high when, the flow of thoughts in the mind is less, & focus into the moment is more. When we have thousand & one things, going into our life, it’s difficult to put the focus on one thing, & unless & until we commit our self to that one thing, no real progress is possible.

When we learn something, we should look for the things that can serve the purpose in our life. Random information distracts us, from the real purpose. The real purpose of life is to grow & evolve, & to become better. If anything that doesn’t serve this purpose is not much of a help. Anytime, the real purpose of our life is what’s going on, at this very moment, in our life.

If I am interested in Bollywood or Hollywood gossip, I should be aware that, the news brings a sense of joy, & with awareness, we can look more deeply into the gossip, & can also have something, out of it, that can serve us in our life. We have something to learn from everything in life. With such awareness to all the activities of the day, we build an attitude, to look for growth in anything & everything we do.

Awareness in a moment plays a major role to bring the shift in our life.

Awareness: The Perils and Opportunities of Reality

Whenever we drive, we can shift the direction of our car, if we are alert & aware in a moment. This little shift takes us up in the ladder, in our life. This is an extra edge, we get out of the awareness, to look a bit farther than our competition, & take a leap, at the right time.

Awareness & alertness into the moment is a lifelong practice, claims Gautama Buddha. With awareness of the moment, we can create better world outside. The people are lost, not because of too many distractions outside, but they are lost, with their own chaos, going on inside, themselves. To set themselves free in the outside world, they should clear the chaos of their inside world.

To be aware in a moment is to bring the complete focus, & attention to the moment. With this focus, we can avoid any disaster, in our life, & on the contrary, we can make the most out of that disaster, with our alertness.

Awareness is a life long practice. It should not be limited to sages, but it has to be a part of everyone’s life.

Zen tradition is all about alertness & awareness at the moment. It may seem not that important or may be impractical for a regular life, but this is the only way, we can accomplish the quality life in our outside world.

Life is all about focus. Focus helps us to get to the core of all the things. We can evaluate & analyze thing from its depth if we have a focused mind. Focus brings light to the things, that can’t be seen with a chaos mind.

We leave our self at the mercy of nature if we don’t make efforts to know our self, & make our self better. The real work of evolution starts with our self, at the level of our body & mind.

Nature follows the process of evolution. When we evolve from inside, our outside world complements our inside world. It’s the way of nature. So, if we focus on the outside world, without making any attempt to improve our inside world, we fail miserably in our outside world. As no matter has ever created from matter itself.

What we see in the outside world, is nothing more than a thought that revolves around our head all the time. When we think about a particular thing for a longer period of time, it becomes a part of our life, in the outside world.

Mira thought about Krishna all the time, & shared all his devotion for him, & soon she became enlightened, with his devotion, & focusing all his thoughts on Krishna. This is the power of focus.

The awareness in the moment, lead a man, to enlightenment. The sages, who have experienced this state, claims that, the real life of a man, starts from this stage. Till that point, man almost lives in a sleeping state.

Enlightenment is Your Nature

When the person becomes enlightened, a clear path sets for him to walk to the paradise, & he serves the world on his path, with his teachings, with the life lesson’s, & the wisdom, he receives from the other world. He shares his message with all the people, who have the desire to know, more about life.

In a day, we have twenty-four hours. But there are very few, who utilize all the hours of the day, or they have the schedule for the whole day. We have a schedule, for 10 hours at the office, 12 hours at home, & 4 hours, we randomly spent in a whole day. But, we never try to figure out, what we do with our time, we spent at office, or at home. Our life just flows by, if we don’t look at it closely, & try to make the most out of it, each day.

The schedule of the warrior or a Buddha is for twenty-four hours of the day. They live each moment of their life. It’s very important to utilize every moment of our life. We all are born here to live, & grow & evolve, & when we spent our time in a productive manner, we satisfy all the desires of our life, & very soon, we can achieve the deep satisfaction & contentment with our life.

Many times, in our life, we face unforeseen situation that knocks us out, from our path, but if, we are committed to our path, it takes no time, for us to get back on the path.

When we move on our path, after a point of time, when everything seems fine, we create a laid back attitude, towards our life, & relax with our life. This is the time when life becomes alert, & we get the most explosive blow from life. This doesn’t mean, that a person should not relax or refresh in his life, but he should never lose awareness at the moment of joy in his life.

“When you are flowing with joy, blissfulness, that is the moment to be aware, but people do exactly the opposite. When they are happy who cares about awareness? And when they are in anguish, then certainly they start thinking it is time to be aware and get out of anguish. But nobody has ever been able to get out from anguish directly.

“First, one has to get out from ecstasy. If you can be aware of your joyful moments in the first place, the depression, the downs will not come. The door to get out is from ecstasy. So this is the simplest way:
“Be happy and be aware.
“Rejoice and be aware.
“Love and be aware.

As the life in a day progresses, we start to lose the same amount of enthusiasm, we carry at the start of the day, but if we can, at least carry a little watchfulness into the moment, through out the day, we can accomplish most out of every situation, & bring the best out of the day.

When we carry the same level of energy & enthusiasm throughout the day, we attract the similar type of people, throughout the day, & we also share the same level of energy & enthusiasm, with the people, who cross our path. Your Energy attracts the similar energy to you

The real purpose of life is to be aware in the moment, & with the awareness, growth happens by itself. Awareness carries life. We see the things that are not visible to everyone, & we walk the path that is unknown to the world. This is the magic of awareness.

Awareness helps us to solve the mysteries of life. The things that are not visible can be seen with awareness. The life that is missing, can come back with awareness. All the life’s opportunity can be seen with the awareness in a moment.

Awareness: Insights for a New Way of Living

When we learn too many things, it’s difficult to apply those things in life. But if we choose something, that can be useful for our growth, we can learn more of it, in a lesser time, & can apply that knowledge, to make it a real experience of our life. We can only grow out of experience, & not even with the knowledge of life.

To know little means to live in a moment, to be confident with our future, & content with our past (what ever it may be). When we live, in the moment, we respond, to the situation. To respond at the moment, we don’t need much knowledge, all we need is little alertness, for that moment.

The alertness in the moment needs faith. We think about the future, because we are scared, of the future. When we have fear for tomorrow, we run to accomplish things, all at once. But, we know somewhere in the heart, that it’s not the real solution for life. The real security will happen, only out of true understanding of life.

We should know the difference between our dream state, & the reality. The reality is what we see around, and the current situation, while the dream state is, what we carry in our head.

If we wish to make the reality, of what’s going on in our head, we should take an active step in that direction of our dream, & before we do that, we should learn to accept our current life, whole heartedly.

When I accept, what I am now, I can be better in the future. But, if we go on denying the truth about life, & go on dreaming, & go on living than it gets difficult to realize the real truth of life.

Real life needs commitment & dedicated effort. It’s twenty-four-hour stuff. Watch your mind, & figure out, what you are really committed to twenty-four hours of the day, in your mind & that will be the life of your future. If you think about the things that are not happening, in your life, all the time, so does, you invite the similar type of situations & circumstances in your life.

Awakening is possible only for those who seek it and want it, and ready to struggle with themselves and work on themselves, and remain persistent, in order to attain it.
